MOKUME GANE SERIES

This has to be one of my all time faves. I brought this rock home from a hike in the Cascades a few years back. It finally made its way to the case. Basalt I beleive with copper and brass mokume gane, which is a process of layering alternating metals in a stack and forging them at the exact proper temperature to get them to bond to one another without the use of solder. Perfected in Japan 300 years ago, lost for a long time and now alive again in the USA.
