John Paul Designs | Item #198
Ok, these rings made it all the way to Japan and back. This beutiful set belongs to a beautiful couple, who will one day be wed. The story is long so I will make it short. The damascus has its roots in the orient, and in a sense have come full circle for half the couple has Japanese roots. Hence the choice for these band was a simple one. It seems right and fitting that the material used for these rings is traditionally used for knives. The materials used for the damascus are both tool steels and quite hard. The type of material that patiently awaits the rigors and vitality of a marriage bond. Much like the bond that these materials underwent at high heat, much like the heat of this marriage.
